Got a few hours to spare while in our area?  Then take advantage of our unique “luggage safeguarding program” that has created a buzz among cruisers. It has become one of our most popular & sought after services by guests returning from a cruise especially since the airlines drastically cut back on their flight schedules leaving passengers with fewer choices than ever before.

Here is how it works: We will empower you with the information you need and suggest some Fun Ideas so you can decide on the right playground for you and your family. We’ll provide transportation to any Central Florida attraction or place of interest of your choice, secure & safeguard your bags, and return you to the airport in time for your flight for a nominal fee, compliments of Ace Luxury Transportation (Tell me more). All of this in an effort to help you make this vacation the one to remember.

So read on and be empowered!

¿ Did you know ?

“Ground Transportation companies must be permitted to pick up from Orlando Airport and Port Canaveral.”

This is strictly enforced so make sure your transportation service provider has the proper permits
(We certainly do. Don’t take any chances and protect yourself by verifying your provider.)
We can help: here’s how you can verify us and our competitors.

Now more than ever: You can save greatly if you have a party of 4 or more where you get private and direct service every time. Most cruise lines use 59 passenger buses and you have to wait till they are at full capacity to depart (No shuttle shuffle with us).

Cruise Shuttle Rates Update: The cruise lines sponsored shuttle providers (not us) now charge $70 per person round trip. We never charge per person in our private vehicles. Shop and compare this price to our per vehicle flat rates below for all of our Port Canaveral Transportation and you’ll clearly see the difference for yourself.

3-Way Land & Sea Package – Airport to Disney / Universal Resort to Port Canaveral to Airport or vs

Orlando Airport Shuttle
Are you staying at a Disney World/Universal resort before or after a cruise?  Then book our 3 way land and sea package and save $20 to $100.  Check out the rates below.

Parking at Port Canaveral: Port Canaveral parking rates can be expensive. They now stand at $15 per day ($105 for a 1 week cruise).

It takes 45 minutes to get you to Port Canaveral from Orlando International Airport (Closest airport to Port Canaveral and is approximately 48 miles away).

Click here to view a map of Port Canaveral.

If your flight arrives after 12:00 p.m. on embarkation day & departs before 12:00 p.m. on the day you disembark, you can not take any cruise operated shuttle to Port Canaveral (we can definitely help here). Check out the list of Orlando airport area hotels below if you need to stay near the airport overnight.

Best pickup time from Disney Cruise Line is between 8:30 a.m.-9:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m.- 10:30 a.m. (Watch Video Watch Video) from all other cruise lines. Trust us, you would be better off waiting for your flight at Orlando International Airport rather than Port Canaveral as all ships will turn around and sail back out to sea the same day. Besides you can shop till you drop at OIA. There, you will find many restaurants and shops including those selling merchandise for all local area attractions. Click here to review Orlando Airport’s Shops & services.

On the day you disembark, if your flight back home is after 3:00 pm (Make sure it is no earlier than 11:30 am for Disney Cruise Line and 12:30 pm for all others) consider a once in a lifetime sightseeing tour of the Kennedy Space Center (See just how close KSC is to Port Canaveral[Watch Video Watch Video]) or hang out at Cocoa Beach home of the 24 hour Ron Jon surf shop (10 minutes from Port Canaveral). Call us now and ask us about our excursion packages after you cruise and create memories to last a lifetime (See excursion tours details below).

¿ Frequently Asked Questions ?

faq_revWhat is the closest airport near Port Canaveral  and where do you fly into to get to Port Canaveral for Disney Cruise, Royal Caribbean, and Carnival cruises. Finally how far is Orlando from Port Canaveral?

Orlando International Airport (Code: MCO) is the closest airport near Port Canaveral which is within the city limits of Cape Canaveral. Orlando Airport is almost exactly a 45 minutes drive from the port and it’s 48 miles west of Port Canaveral.

Here are some of the most popular distance questions: How far is:

  • Kennedy  Space Center to Port Canaveral: 20 Miles and 25 minutes drive.
  • Universal Studios resort/ SeaWorld/ International Drive Resort area to Port Canaveral: 55 Miles and 1 hour & 5 minutes drive.
  • Walt Disney World/ Lake Buena Vista/ Kissimmee To Port Canaveral: 70 Miles and 1 hour & 15 minutes drive.
  • Sanford International Airport To Port Canaveral: 68 Miles and 1 hour & 15 minutes drive.
  • Orlando International Airport to Kennedy Space Center: 43 Miles and 45 minutes drive.

I’m not sure whether to fly in the day before our cruise or to arrive the day the ship sails and where do you recommend we stay if we fly in the night before?

You’re better off flying in the day before the cruise as we have seen passengers cut it really close time and time again because of delayed flights, bad weather and road conditions (Brush fires are common along the main highway between Orlando Airport and Port Canaveral).
You’re even better off putting all the traveling behind the day before the cruise and staying at a hotel near Port Canaveral vs. one near the Orlando Airport .Once there you can catch the hotel shuttle to the cruise terminal (5 minutes drive) as bright and early as you like the following morning. Click here to check out the Port Canaveral/Cocoa Beach area hotels.

If we decided to fly in the day of the cruise, by what time should we arrive at Orlando International?

You should arrive no later than 1:00 pm at the absolute latest (Book a flight to arrive by 12:30 pm allowing some time for any unexpected delays). A comfortable arrival time to catch a cruise is between 10:00 am and 11:30 am.

Where do we meet the driver at the airport and coming back from the cruise ship?

Watch our videos to find out how easy we make it to locate your driver:

Do you require a credit card to reserve and do you charge it anything.

How do we pay for the service?
Full payment by credit card at time of booking.  Why pre-pay?  When The time of your service comes, our staff’s only focus is to provide you with the best customer experience possible & for the drivers to do what they do best: Drive you to your destination in a prompt & efficient manner.  Once reserved, passengers receive a full itinerary, payment receipts for every pick up & Meet & Greet procedure via e-mail shortly after making a reservation. Give us a minimum of 48 hours notice to cancel & 100% refund will be immediately issued to your account. Most importantly: Your service is guaranteed by an A+ rated company with the BBB & in business for 25 years.

Do we get a better rate if we book online, by phone, or round trip ?

Our rates are designed to be very competitive whichever way you book your service. You will not be penalized for booking by phone or online. The choice is yours. However, our clients do realize some savings by booking round trip, 3 way land & sea packages or multiple transportation reservations. There are also advantages to booking online : It greatly reduces the margin of error and you will receive a confirmation within 48 hours to carry with you while traveling with detailed itinerary , total charges, driver “Meet & Greet” procedures and contact information.

We will be staying at a hotel near the airport on the day of the cruise. What time should we leave for Port Canaveral?

Most ships start boarding around 1:30 pm and most passengers leave the airport area between 12:00 pm & 1:00 pm (The later you leave the shorter the lines outside the terminals especially for those going on 1 week cruises. You may leave as late as 2:00 pm as long as road conditions allow it. It takes 45 minutes to get to the Port from the Orlando airport area).

We’re arriving on the same day of our cruise at Orlando airport but at different times. How do you handle multiple arrivals?

We ask that you provide us with the info of the latest arriving flight and ask that everyone arriving before that flight to walk or have a skycap accompany them to the baggage claim area of that later arriving flight so everybody can depart from the same place at the same time.

We’re returning a rental car at Orlando Airport. Can you still pick us up from there?

Yes, we can recommend a pick up location for you to meet the driver at the airport when you make your reservation.

Can you pick up from a hotel near Disney first, then Lake Buena Vista and then from the airport?

We are very flexible in our ability to pick you up from any location in metro Orlando and the airport (No restrictions). Additional charges apply for extra stops. If you have a special need or request just let us know when booking your reservation and we’ll take care of the rest.

We have an early flight on the way back home after the cruise and we’re worried about not making our flight in time. Do you have any suggestions as to how to make sure we can exit the ship in a timely manner?

You do want to make sure that the guest service on the ship knows that you have an early flight and that you need to debark early (You want to request what is called a “Self Assist Debarkation” in cruising lingo and be off the ship at least 3 hours before your flight). Some experienced cruisers have told us that they kept their bags inside their cabin the night before debarkation, allowing them to walk right off the ship with their bags in hand at the time of their choosing. This tip seems to work better with Royal Caribbean ships than Carnival.

What are the earliest and the latest times you’ve ever picked up passengers off of each ship?

Hopefully this table can help:

On the day we return home, our flight doesn’t leave until 3:00 pm . Do we have enough time to check out any of the area attractions?

Provided you leave the port by 9:15 am, you can spend about 3 hours at Kennedy Space Center (Enough to take the bus tour. 5 hours is recommended to see KSC. See just how close KSC is to Port Canaveral[Watch Video Watch Video]) or go for an Airboat ride near Orlando Airport (allow 2 hours). For those of you who have a flight after 5:00 pm you may want to visit one of our many local theme parks such as SeaWorld or Universal Studios (Ask us about our luggage safeguarding program while visiting any area attraction or place of interest).

Once we’re back home and back to the real world, any suggestions?

Look for a 1 time email from us giving you the chance to save on past & future reservations by posting a review on a search engine & like/ recommend us on a social media site. Meanwhile enjoy your memories, book another cruise, call us, and please tell your friends and family about what a great experience you had using “Ace Luxury Transportation, Inc.”
